Highlights of our program include:
Attending StaffMuhlenberg has an Attending (teaching) staff of over forty. All of the specialties are represented.
Restorative DentistryA large and varied patient load will allow the Resident to gain experience using many different methods and materials. Esthetic procedures including metal free crowns, vital bleaching, and veneer cases are possible.
EndodonticsRotary endodontics is taught using the Tulsa system. To aid in endodontics, a networked Schick computed digital radiography system is used. A computer system is located in each operatory. We have recently purchased an endodontic microscope with a color camera attachment.

ProstheticsAn ample caseload that provides about 100 cases of removable prosthetics per year. The resident will have the opportunity to complete single crowns as well as bridgework . Various impression materials are available including reversible hydrocolloid. Alternate designs including Targis/Vectris, Captek, Empress, and Procera are also possible.
PeriodonticsThe Resident usually completes 12 periodontal surgeries during the year under the direct supervision of our Periodontal staff.
Special CareThe department of Anesthesia provides sedation in the dental center allowing the Resident and Attending to provide comprehensive dental care for mentally handicapped individuals. Many other programs complete these cases in the operating room.
